RENORMALIZATION GROUP APPROACH FOR SITE-DILUTED RESISTOR NETWORKS

Abstract:
A method is developed for treating the percolation conductivity of site-diluted resistor networks using a real space renormalisation group transformation of probabilities. The method is applied to the square and triangular lattices yielding, with the simplest scalings, the following results for the percolation concentration pc, correlation length critical exponent v, and conductivity exponent t: square lattice: pc=0.618, v=1.64, t=1.33; triangular lattice: pc=0.5, v=1.71, t=1.24.
