Cushing's disease in childhood: presentation, investigation, treatment and long-term outcome.
Seventeen patients with Cushing's disease (CD) were treated from 1978 to 2000. There were 11 males and 6 females aged 6.8-18.8 years (mean age 13.0 +/- 5.9 years). Presenting features were: weight gain (100%); growth failure (71%); hirsutism (53%); striae (53%); hypertension (47%).
