Campos, explotaciones y sistemas de innovacion en la agricultura preindustrial inglesa.

Abstract:
The enclosure of the open fields is usually seen as a progressive reorganization since it substituted private property for collective management. However, the collective institutions of the open fields spread the costs of agricultural experimentation and increased the rate of invention. For this reason the open fields contributed significantly to agricultural modernization in England.
