Histidine-dependent protein methylation is required for compartmentalization of CTP synthase

Abstract:

CTP synthase (CTPS) forms compartmentalized filaments in response to substrate availability and environmental nutrient status. However, the physiological role of filaments and mechanisms for filament assembly are not well understood.
