QUANTUM-MECHANICAL CALCULATIONS OF COLLINEAR ATOM-TRIATOM TRANSITION-PROBABILITIES FOR ANHARMONIC TRIATOM POTENTIALS

Abstract:
Calculations of quantal vibrational transition probabilities are reported for collinear collisions of CO2 with He and Kr for systematic variations of the anharmonic terms in the CO2 potential. Anharmonicity decreases the probabilities of V-T transitions and increases the probabilities of V-V transitions over the range of total energies studied. © 1980.
