Association studies in outbred mice in a new era of full-genome sequencing.

Abstract:

Thousands of loci that contribute to quantitative traits in outbred crosses of mice have been reported over the last two decades. In this review we discuss how outbred mouse populations can be used to map and identify the genes and sequence variants that give rise to quantitative variation.
