Relationship between preventable hospital deaths and other measures of safety: an exploratory study.

Abstract:

OBJECTIVE: To explore associations between the proportion of hospital deaths that are preventable and other measures of safety. DESIGN: Retrospective case record review to provide estimates of preventable death proportions.
