A critical look at spatial scale choices in satellite-based aerosol indirect effect studies

Abstract:

Analysing satellite datasets over large regions may introduce spurious relationships between aerosol and cloud properties due to spatial variations in aerosol type, cloud regime and synoptic regime climatologies.
