The conjugate addition of enantiomerically pure lithium amides as homochiral ammonia equivalents: scope, limitations and synthetic applications

Abstract:
This review delineates the scope and limitations of the conjugate addition of homochiral lithium amides to act as homochiral ammonia equivalents for the asymmetric synthesis of a range of β-amino carboxylic acid derivatives and its widespread applications in synthesis. © 2005 Elsevier Ltd.
