Abstract:
The Pecan Gap Chalk of central and northeastern Texas contains an ammonite fauna of Pachydiscus (Pachydiscus) travisi (Adkins, 1929), P.(P.) aff. P. haldemsis (Schluter, 1867), Anapachydiscus sp.juv., Eubostrychoceras reevesi (Young, 1963), Lewyites taylorensis (Adkins, 1929), Baculites taylorensis Adkins, 1929 and Trachyscaphites spiniger (Schluter, 1872) porchi (Adkins, 1929). The fauna is about the age of the middle Campanian B. asperiformis zone of the Western Interior ammonite sequence. -from Authors
