These data all relate to GaAs photonic crystal (PhC) waveguides with SU-8 photoresist disks patterened on top them to create cavities. The waveguides contain high-density embedded InGaAs quantum dots which couple to the cavity modes.

fig2 contains data from a series of 3 dimensional electromagnetic FDTD simulations measuring cavity Q factor and mode volume as the disk thickness is varied.

fig3 contains micro-photoluminescence (uPL) spectra of the waveguides taken before and after cavity fabrication. These include 1 dimensional maps taken by scanning the microscope objective along the PhC waveguide.

fig4 contains the measured Q factor, disk thickness, and disk diameter data for all the devices studied. Thickness and diameter were determined using atomic force microscope measurements.

fig5 contains a scanning electron microscope image and associated 2 dimensional uPL map of one of the cavities.
