Inflammatory cytokines, angiogenesis, and fibrosis in the rat peritoneum.

Abstract:

Peritonitis, a common complication of peritoneal dialysis, is followed by acute changes in the function of the peritoneum. The role of inflammatory cytokines in these processes is not clearly identified.
