Selected ion flow tube studies of the gas-phase reactions of O.-,O2 .- and OH- with a variety of brominated compounds

Abstract:

The reactions of fourteen bromine-containing molecules, CH3Br, CH2Br2, CHBrCl2, CHBr2Cl, C2H5Br, CH2BrCH2Br, CH2BrCH2Cl, CF3Br, CF2Br2, CFBr3, CBrClF2, CFBr2Cl, CCl3Br and CF2BrCF2Br, with the anions O.-, O2.- and OH- in a 0.5 Torr helium buffer gas have been studied at 300 K using a selected ion flow tube.
