Abstract:

The discovery of cyclic adenosine diphosphate ribose (cADPR) and nicotinic acid adenine dinucleotide phosphate (NAADP) as Ca(2+) releasing messengers has provided additional insight into how complex Ca(2+) signalling patterns are generated.
