Abstract:

PURPOSE: Current clinical practice for lung cancer diagnosis and staging requires the acquisition of a diagnostic computed tomography (CT) as well as positron emission tomography (PET)/CT volumes from a hybrid scanner, where the CT is used for attenuation correction (AC-CT).
