OBJECTIVE: To investigate the parental relationship of patients with multiple sclerosis (MS) from an extended pedigree with extensive genealogical information up to the middle of the 18th century. DESIGN: Multiple sclerosis is a complex disease resulting from genetic and environmental factors.
