Abstract:

OBJECTIVE: To compare trends in the numbers of people with serious traffic injuries according to police statistics and hospital episode statistics (HES). DESIGN: Descriptive study based on two independent population based data sources. SETTING: Police statistics and hospital episode statistics in England.
