The dynamics of particles in solution or suspension is influenced by thermal fluctuations and hydrodynamic interactions. Several mesoscale methods exist to account for these solvent-induced effects such as Brownian dynamics with hydrodynamic interactions and hybrid molecular dynamics-stochastic rotation dynamics methods.
