The data are stored in ".mat" files, which is the Matlab binary file format. You need Matlab, available from Mathworks, to open this type of file. NOTE: The zip data files are large (approx. 0.8GB) For raw data files in excel/MIMS client friendly formats with extended testing information, please contact david.howey@eng.ox.ac.uk Thanks for your interest in our work. Trishna Raj David Howey March 2021 ___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ The dataset contains 4 groups of long term degradation data collected for three 18650 NCA cells per each group and EIS data. All datafiles include time, current, voltage, capacity and temperature data. File name format: TPGx.y - Cell z (x: group number, y:file number , z: cell number) Description of combined profile groups: Group 7 - 1 day of CCCV cycling at C/2 and 5 days of calendar aging at 90% SoC Group 8 - 2 days of CCCV cycling at C/2 and 10 days of calendar aging at 90% SoC Group 9 - 1 day of CCCV cycling at C/2 and 5 days of calendar aging at 4.2V Group 10 -2 days of CCCV cycling at C/2 and 10 days of calendar aging at 4.2V Reference performance tests were conducted every 48 cycles and consist of CC discharge at C/2 to 2.5V (step 4) CC-CV charge at C/2 to 4.2V until current was C/60 (step 5, 6) Pseudo OCV discharge at C/24 to 2.5V (step 8) Pseudo OCV charge at C/24 to 4.2V (step 10) Pulse characterisation at 80% SoC (steps 14 and 16 ) Pulse characterisation at 50% SoC (steps 20 and 22 ) Pulse characterisation at 20% SoC (steps 26 and 28) EIS data was collected at the beginning of life and end of life at 80%, 50% and 20% SoC. EIS was conducted with a 100 mA peak-to-peak excitation amplitude in the frequency range of 5 kHz to 10 mHz, with a resolution of 6 points per decade. The first 3-4 files in groups 7,8 and 9 (TPGx.0-TPGx.3) do not have temperature data. The additional document 'Guide to Datafiles' will help in identifying cycling and reference performance test data for each cell under test. ___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ These data are copyright (c) 2021, The Chancellor, Masters and Scholars of the University of Oxford, and the 'Path Dependent Battery Degradation Dataset 3' researchers.
