Optoelectronic devices using 2D layered materials

Abstract:

The new diverse family of two-dimensional (2D) materials has aroused researchers’ enormous interest as key components in next-generation optoelectronic devices. In this thesis, ultrathin all-2D devices based on graphene, molybdenum disulphide (MoS2) and tungsten disulphide (WS2), synthesized using the scalable bottom-up approach, are investigated in both single- and multi-stacked configurations.
