Abstract:

Induction of mixed hematopoietic chimerism results in donor-specific immunological tolerance by apoptosis-mediated deletion of donor-reactive lymphocytes. A broad clinical application of this approach is currently hampered by limited predictability and toxicity of the available conditioning protocols.
