A generalized view on normal moveout

Abstract:

While in the past, in the context of stacking, traveltime moveout was only formulated in individual common-midpoint (CMP) gathers, multi-parameter stacking utilizes normal moveout (NMO) approximations, which span several neighboring CMPs.
