Formation of stable DNA triplexes.

Abstract:

Triple-helical nucleic acids are formed by binding an oligonucleotide within the major groove of duplex DNA. These complexes offer the possibility of designing oligonucleotides which bind to duplex DNA with considerable sequence specificity.
