Unintentional injuries and violence

Abstract:
Chapter 9 of this Global Health textbook, edition 4, covers the epidemiology, the economic and social consequences, the risk factors and interventions to prevention both unintentional injuries (road traffic injuries, falls, drowning, burns, poisoning) and intentional injuries (interpersonal and collective violence). It concludes by discussion obstacles and opportunities to advance the injury prevention agenda.
