Estimating the mesorectal fascia in MRI.

Apart from chemoradiotherapy, surgery by total mesorectal resection is currently the only curative therapy for colorectal cancer. However, this often has a poor outcome, especially if there are affected lymph nodes too close to the resection boundary.
