Subventricular zone neuroblasts emigrate toward cortical lesions.

Abstract:

Adult subventricular zone (SVZ) neuroblasts migrate in the rostral migratory stream to the olfactory bulbs. Brain lesions generally increase SVZ neurogenesis or gliogenesis and cause SVZ cell emigration to ectopic locations.
