Insulated polyaniline (PANI) polyrotaxane molecular wires were synthesized to apply them as advanced materials in photovoltaic devices and light emitting diodes. Benzylamine-substituted polyaniline is constructed through the synthesis and deprotection of tert-butoxycarbonyl (Boc) protected PANI using Pd-catalyzed polymerization.
