Engineering cytochrome-modified silica nanoparticles to induce programmed cell death.

Abstract:

A low native membrane permeability and ineffective access to the cellular cytosol, together with aggressive proteolytic degradation, often severely hampers the practical application of any therapeutic protein or antibody.
