Browse texts

You can open a text file to browse through each text, and click on any reference number to see the database entry for the line in question.

Given the size of some of the text files, and depending on the capacity of your computer and the speed of your internet connection, this can on occasion be a little sluggish. But it is the easiest way of looking through the texts line by line; the alternative is to enter a specific reference number or record number in the search form for each line you want to look at.

Clicking Browse current text in the Results page takes you directly to the line in the text file to which the displayed database entry relates. You can then click on any other reference in the text file to go to its database entry.
