Spectral imbalance in the inertial range dynamics of decaying rotating turbulence

Abstract:

Direct numerical simulations of homogeneous decaying turbulence with background rotation show the existence of a systematic and significant imbalance between the non-linear energy cascade to small scales and its dissipation.
