Da Apollo a Batillo (e da Batillo ad Apollo): Anacreont. 17 West

Abstract:
This article argues, against most contemporary translators, that Anacreont. 17,43-44 should be construed as «take down this Apollo and turn it into Bathyllus», and sketches a history of this interpretation in early modem scholarship on the Anacreontea.
