Freight transport and deployment of bioenergy in the UK

Abstract:

Delivering energy, in the form of biomass, to a bio refinery, or to a conversion plant, plant requires transport of biomass feedstock. We examine the indirect impact on UK of freight transport mode choice through specific pathways of biomass, biomass (renewable energy) systems to supply power, heat and biofuels.
