Deuterium nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy (2H NMR) has been employed to investigate the interaction of lung type II myosin protein with neutral bilayers containing dimyristoylphosphatidylcholine (DMPC) as the only constituent and mixed bilayers containing the negatively charged lipid dimyristoylphosphatidylglycerol (DMPG).
