Nanohalos: a manifestation of electron channelling in gold nanoparticles.

Abstract:

We discuss interesting haloing effects observed in experimental images of gold nanoparticles obtained using aberration-corrected scanning transmission electron microscopy (STEM) employing the low-angle annular dark-field (LAADF) imaging mode.
