Identification of anticoagulant activities in salivary gland extracts of four horsefly species (Diptera, tabanidae).

Abstract:

Anticoagulant activities against the extrinsic and intrinsic coagulation pathways were identified in salivary gland extracts (SGE) prepared from four tabanids (Hybomitra muehlfeldi, Tabanus autumnalis, Haematopota pluvialis, Heptatoma pellucens).
