A. micromixer based upon buoyancy
- Abstract:
- A novel micromixer is presented which may be thermally controlled to allow for the enhanced mixing of different species at the microscale. Numerical simulations are presented which demonstrate the operation of the design and methodologies for the generation of different microfluidic structures to enhance mixing at the microscale. It is found that buoyancy may be implemented to create a range of mixing regimes at the microscale. The generation of such fluidic structures allows the controlled mixing of different species Copyright © 2005 by ASME.
