Higher moments of phase operators and random walks with absorbing boundaries.
It is shown that a mapping between the matrix elements of moments of the phase-related cos and sin operators C and S of the simple harmonic oscillator and the probabilities arising from random walks with absorbing boundaries may be established. Such a mapping may be used to calculate the expectation values of positive integer powers of the operators C and S.
