Matrix metalloproteinase (MMP)-1 and MMP-3 levels were measured in serum samples from rheumatoid arthritis (RA) patients undergoing a double-blinded placebo-controlled trial with the chimaeric anti-tumour necrosis factor (TNF)-alpha antibody cA2.
