AIMS: The potential advantages of stereotactic body radiotherapy (SBRT) for early stage non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) over conventional fractionated radiotherapy include a higher biological effective dose, a reduction in accelerated repopulation, greater patient convenience and reduced demand on radiotherapy resources.
