Fault slip-rates and the recurrence interval between earthquakes can be determined from reliable dating of deformed sediments. We report optically stimulated luminescence (OSL) ages of alluvial gravels, fine-grained sediments and colluvial deposits associated with the Sabzevar thrust fault in northeastern Iran.
