Loanwords in the "Etymological Dictionary of Old High German"

Abstract:

Loanwords occur in each natural language, also in historical periods of languages. In my speech I'll refer to loanwords in Old High German, which occur in volume 1 to 4 of the "Etymological Dictionary of Old High Geman". Borrowed derivation morphemes like -âri will play a role, too (e.g. huntâri 'Centurio' in Tatian vs. hunno 'Centurio' in glosses).
