Characterization and performance of TiO2-based solar cells

Abstract:

In this paper two different methods, doctor blade of a paste and glancing angle deposition (GLAD), have been used to fabricate layers of titanium dioxide for use in organic solar cells. Doctor blade TiO2 consists of a random network of nanocrystals with an average pore size of about 9 - 10nm. Controlled nanometre-scale columnar structures of TiO2 with column spacing between 50 and 100nm were obtained using the GLAD process.
