MINIMIZING THE NORM OF OUTPUT-FEEDBACK CONTROLLERS USED IN POLE PLACEMENT - A DYADIC APPROACH

Abstract:

This paper discusses the problem of pole placement by output feedback with constraints on the feedback gains, by considering the minimization of a matrix functional whose value reflects the magnitude of the elements of the feedback matrix. The investigation is concerned with the class of dyadic feedback controllers and provides the natural generalization and extension of results described in an earlier paper which discussed pole placement by state feedback. The simple geometric picture which ...
