Effect of cholesterol on rhodopsin stability in disk membranes.

Abstract:

The effect of cholesterol on rhodopsin stability has been investigated in intact disk membranes. Because cholesterol readily equilibrates between membranes, the disk membrane cholesterol content can be altered by incubation with cholesterol/phospholipid vesicles.
