Assessment of von Willebrand disease as a risk factor for primary postpartum haemorrhage.

Abstract:

It is not clear whether von Willebrand disease (VWD) is associated with an increased risk of postpartum haemorrhage (PPH). We assessed the effect of VWD on PPH in a case-control study. Logistic regression was used to test for differences in the odds of PPH in deliveries to women with and without VWD, before and after adjustment for known risk factors.
