Characterization of human sialoadhesin, a sialic acid binding receptor expressed by resident and inflammatory macrophage populations.

Abstract:

Sialoadhesin is a macrophage-restricted cellular interaction molecule and a prototypic member of the Siglec family of sialic acid binding immunoglobulin (Ig)-like lectins.
