Abstract:

Colorectal cancer is one of the commonest causes of cancer death worldwide. Surgery is the mainstay of treatment for disease that has not metastasized. This is often followed by adjuvant chemotherapy to reduce the chances of recurrence. Chemotherapy can also be used in advanced disease to palliate symptoms and extend life.
