The thermal expansion coefficient of mechanically alloyed Al-Cu-Fe quasicrystalline powders

Abstract:

The evolution of the diffraction profile, providing highly accurate data for coefficient of thermal expansion (CTE) determination was investigated using synchrotron X ray diffraction during in situ heating and cooling. The data on the temperature variation of the thermal expansivity of quasicrystalline powders were obtained by measuring the center of mass position of the (322002) peak.
