LINE-SHAPE ANALYSIS OF POLARIZED ELECTRON-PARAMAGNETIC RESONANCE-SPECTRA OF THE PRIMARY REACTANTS OF BACTERIAL PHOTOSYNTHESIS

Abstract:
A simple analytical method is described for calculating transient EPR spectra of the primary reactants of photosynthesis. Polarization is generated in the primary radical pair P+I- and passed to the acceptor X- by electron transfer. Satisfactory agreement between theoretical and experimental spectra is obtained by including a dipolar interaction between P+ and I- and an anisotropic g tensor for X-. © 1986.
