Abstract:

This chapter explores how the nascent idea of Adaptation to Climate Change is translated in northern Tanzania. By interrogating how non-governmental organisations and other actors in northern Tanzania adapt to the idea of adaptation itself we gain insight into the ways in which a new development paradigm comes into being.
